8 Stretches That Would Put Your Chiropractor Out Of Business

According to experts, 8 in every 10 people suffer from low back pain at some point in their life. Back pain can be a constant dull ache, or a sharp shooting pain. Acute back pain is felt instantly after you injure yourself while chronic back pain is pain that last more than 3 months.

What causes low back pain? The truth is low back pain can be caused by many different reasons.  However, one of the most common reasons is tight and weak muscles due to inactivity and sitting. In todays society many of our jobs require us to be sitting for 8 or more hours a day. This repetitive sitting causes your hip flexors and hamstrings to tighten, and these tight muscles pull on your lumbar spine. Many of us are so busy with work and life we aren’t able to fit an hour of exercise into our daily routine. Our spine and “core” muscles become weak and strained further worsening the problem and subsequent pain. By adding in these 8 stretches and exercises to your daily routine your back pain can be significantly reduced.

Perform these 8 movements 1-2 times per day. Holding each movement for 30-45 seconds. Perform these exercises for each side of the body when applicable.
